AIRFOR 170 “Welcoming Ramadan, Financially Strong , Physically and Mentally Strong”

News UNAIR Postgraduate School, March 5 2024 – In order to welcome the month of Ramadan which is only one week away, the 170th Airlangga Forum held a discussion that discussed overall health, both in terms of physical and financial.

Prof. Dr. Rudi Purwono, S.E., M.SE, Deputy Director I of UNAIR Postgraduate School, emphasized the importance of maintaining financial health during the holy month of Ramadan. “Financial health is an important aspect of Ramadan. We need to live frugally, not stingy. This is not only a matter of managing finances, but also the spirit of sharing with those in need,” said Prof. Rudi Purwono.

Prof. Rudi also highlighted the habit of spending money during Eid al-Fitr, which often leads to unplanned expenses. “We must be wise in using money, especially for health. Health insurance is important to protect yourself from unexpected health risks, especially in old age, “he added.

Meanwhile, Prof. dr. Ali Ghufron Mukti, M.Sc., Ph.D, President Director of BPJS Health, emphasized the importance of maintaining overall health. “Healthy is not everything, but without health, nothing matters. Physical, mental, and social health must be taken seriously,” he said.

Welcoming the fasting month of Ramadan, Prof. Ali Ghufron Mukti emphasized that fasting is a form of maintaining health. “Fasting provides health benefits, and BPJS Kesehatan provides a screening program in the form of consultation to help individuals maintain their health,” he explained.

In more detail regarding the immune system, Prof. Theresia Indah Budhy Sulisetyawati, drg., M.Kes., Sp. PMM(K), Coordinator of UNAIR Postgraduate Master of Immunology Study Program, highlighted the importance of spiritual health. “Health is not only physical, but also spiritual. Stress and unhealthy mental conditions can affect the body’s immune system,” he said.

Prof. Theresia also emphasized the importance of a healthy diet. “Returning to nature and healthy food is the first step to maintaining a healthy body. Discipline in food consumption will have a positive impact on overall health, “he concluded.
