About Master of Health Economics

Master of Health and Economy Study Program is designed comprehensively in 3 semesters. Master of Health and Economy Study Program is a multi-disciplinary study program. Prospective students of the Master of Health and Economy study program can come from all fields of science. This Master of Health and Economy study program provides insight into the economic value of Health, especially for individuals, families and how it impacts in the aggregate on public policy in the health sector.

The study program is multidisciplinary, therefore Master of Health and Economy studies health from various economic, behavioral and socio-cultural aspects of society that have an impact on the quality of individual and community health. Prospective students can come from academia (bureaucrats), corporate (banking and insurance), and the health industry.

Curriculum of Master Health Economics

Total 42 Credits

Semester 1 - Compulsory Course

  1. Transformative leadership (3 credits)
  2. Economic theory (3 credits)
  3. Research methodology for Health data (3 credits)
  4. Health Economics (3 credits)
  5. Health Insurance and Financing (3 credits)

Semester 2 - Compulsory Course

  1. Health Demographics (2 credits)
  2. Statistics and information for Health data (3 credits)
  3. Social and behavioral sciences in Health (3 credits)
  4. Evaluation of impact on Health programs and policies (3 credits)
  5. Thesis proposal (3 credits)

Semester 2 - Elective Course

  1. Elective courses available across study programs at SPS / online courses from WHO or other organizations (3 credits)

Semester 3 - Compulsive Course

  1. Thesis (6 credits)

Education Facilities

Comfortable and air-conditioned lecture rooms, reading rooms, prayer rooms, seminar rooms, research laboratories in Dentistry Faculty , Institute Tropical Disease, and other faculties that have sophisticated machines laboratories. 24-hour internet access and ample parking.
