Impact of Infrastructure on Blora’s Economic Growth

Airlangga Forum Podcast, 12 Mar 2021 – According to some foreign figures who argue that Indonesia has the potential to become a top 5 economy. Several factors that can make Indonesia can occupy the top 5 economies in the next few years because Indonesia is one of the old countries, 60% of Indonesians aged 40 years and under, then Indonesia is also among the highest mobile phone users. In the ASEAN Logistic Performance Index Indonesia has seen a good increase in infrastructure in recent years. Therefore, infrastructure facilitates indonesia’s economic transformation to become a high-value producer and become a high competitiveness. Therefore, The Graduate School of Airlangga University held a discussion forum themed “Impact of Infrastructure on Blora Economic Growth”. This forum was filled by several speakers, among others, H. Arief Rohman, M.Si (Regent of Blora), Prof. Dr. Bambang Sektiari Lukiswanto, DEA, Drh (Vice Rector for Academic, Student affairs and Alumni, Airlangga University), Rudi Purwono (Wadir I Graduate School of Airlangga University), Prof. Badri Munir Sukoco (Director of The Graduate School of Airlangga University), Suparto Wijoyo (Wadir III Graduate School of Airlangga University).

The development of infrastructure development that is hampered in Blora district of Central Java due to diverted funds for the allocation of covid-19 has an impact on the economy of the community that can not be stable according to the exposure of Mr. H. Arief Rohman, M. Si as The Regent of Blora. According to Prof. Dr. Bambang Sektiari Lukiswanto in restoring the economy of society, there is a need for creative economy and infrastructure completeness. In addition, he also argues that technology and collaboration here are indispensable to help and facilitate access to agricultural industry marketing.

On the other hand, Mr. Rudi Purwono expressed his opinion for inclusive development involving various elements of society. Such as infrastructure development that becomes the hope of economic drivers to create competitiveness. In addition, in the field of finance is not required to depend on the regional budget, but also on economic growth that is interconnected to various shortcomings. In the context of all can move including in the decrease in the number of poverty and equalization can be achieved.
